PVC enclosures are amazing at holding heat and humidity, which for our tropical species that is an amazing asset. This however makes a problem with our more arid species and having the proper lower humidity while maintaining temperature gradients...Until Now!
The Arid edition of the 4x2x2 is specifically designed for your higher temperature arid species. High flow ventilation allowing for great airflow from front to back and also from side to side. This Enclosure is designed as a sliding glass front to prevent scratching of acrylic from lizard claws, making this a fantastic option for Uromastyx, Bearded Dragons, Collared Lizards and Juvenile Monitors!
The actual dimensions of this unit are 46" x 23" x 23" making it an exact fit for our cabinet. Plastic sliding tracks for the Glass doors make for easy cleanup of sand or loose substrate with a vacuum. The lower substrate guard is 3" leaving ample space for your sand/soil mixes.
This unit will be available in black or White 12mm PVC.
**It is important to note that couriers do not cover breakage of glass during transport. We do wrap it very carefully with foam, bubbles and high strength outer foam to do our best to get it to you safely. The Glass is shipped at your own risk, however if you prefer we can send it without glass for a lower price so that you can get glass locally to you to eliminate this issue.
The glass size for this enclosure is 2 pieces of 16.5" x 21.5" (same size as our other 4x2x2). it is recommended in a 6mm thickness of glass with sanded edges
This unit ships flat packed to ensure the best shipping rates!
As with all enclosures it is recommended to seal the bottom seams after assembly. For this we recommend GE silicone 1 (silicone 2 has additives that are harmful to reptiles). We have also had clients have good luck with dynaflex 230 for sealing their enclosures.
